As you’ll be aware, in June 2016, the UK voted to leave the European Union. I voted to remain within the EU, as did Stretford and Urmston and I campaigned for Remain during the referendum.
Following its discussions at Chequers in July 2018, Government is trying to negotiate an exit deal which MPs expect to vote on in the autumn. I support pragmatic approach that maximises our participation in customs union and single market to protect jobs and trade with EU – I don’t believe Chequers fudge delivers that.
I’ll use this page to provide an update of my parliamentary appearances about Brexit, and what’s going on in parliament regarding Brexit votes. I’ll also post summaries of my updates to constituents on Brexit. If you’d like to receive e-mail updates about Brexit directly, please e-mail me to let me know on email@example.com.
